Shimmers are the hot new colors that combine the best features of glitters and metallics. They have a finish similar to metallics, but with a much greater sparkle, and the color range of glitters. They're extremely popular in novelty and resort designs. And Union Ink's Shimmer plastisols are non-tarnishing and high-opacity, with excellent elasticity and washability.

Shimmer Tech Tip Print Shimmer inks through a 60-86 mesh (24-36 metric), except for Sparkling Black, which should print through a 110 mesh (43 metric). Shimmer inks cure at 300º F (149º C), but because of the thickness of the ink layer and the heat-reflecting properties of the shimmer pigments, they will require either increased temperatures or longer curing times when compared to standard plastisols.
