Lightning Low-Bleed White Plastisol is Union Ink's newest, most versatile high opacity low-bleed white. The PLHT-1055 is formulated with low viscosity and excellent printing characteristics, and is designed for either manual or automatic printing. The "low-bleed" formulation allows this white ink to overcome the tendency for dark colored cotton/polyester garments to "bleed" dye from the fabric into the ink.
Lightning Low-Bleed White is also formulated to flash cure quickly at fast production speeds, providing an underbase to effectively minimize the migration of garment dyes.
DIRECT OVERPRINTING:
74T-110T (29-34 metric) monofilament polyester. High deposits for maximum opacity require 62T (24 metric).FLASH CURING APPLICATIONS: 110T (44T metric).
Direct Stencil Emulsion such as Union Ink's INMARCOL-R, INMARCOL-W, or Unicol-2000 are recommended.
For detailed prints on dark garments, print on a hard pallet with a medium or hard, sharp squeegee. Where a thicker deposit of ink is required, print on a soft pallet with a medium, slightly rounded squeegee.
Lightning Low-Bleed White is supplied Ready-For-Use. Reducing the ink usually reduces the opacity. Always mix well before using. Since plastisols usually "body up" while left at rest in the can, the stirring action will quickly bring the ink to its true printing consistency and usually eliminate the need for adding reducer.
When printing through finer meshes (180-230T / 72-92T metric) and/or at higher screen tensions (40N/cm2 and above), the ink's ability to flow through the screen can be enhanced with very small additions (less than 2%) of Union Ink's MIXO-9020 Flow Promoter. Adding MIXO-9020 also has the effect of reducing viscosity; however, additions above this recommended level would reduce the ink's viscosity dramatically and may have a negative impact on opacity.
Plastisol inks will not air dry and must be heat cured. PLHT-1055 Lightning Low-Bleed White will fully cure and withstand repeated washings when the entire ink deposit reaches 300F (149C). (Note: Avoid curing at excessive temperatures, especially with heavy deposits, which may cause bubbling.)
Mineral Spirits or biodegradable WASH-9900 SKREEN KLEEN.
