PRODUCT NAME: SPARKLETONE BASE CODE: PPSP-9090

SPARKLETONE BASE: Just add SPARKLETONE flakes, glitter, metallic pigment, or standard pigment, mix well and print.

For Use On: Excellent adhesion to most synthetic textiles and some non textile substrates.

HAZARDOUS MATERIAL INFORMATION:

Manufactured using the safest possible ingredients and represents no health hazard in normal use. Container label should read:

HEALTH - 1; FLAMMABILITY - 0; REACTIVITY - 0; PERSONAL PROTECTION - B

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS:

For best results with metallic flakes or metallic pigments mix only what can be used in 1 day. May be refrigerated to reduce tarnishing if mixture MUST be kept for several days.

For softest hand, mix approximately 12% SPARKLETONE flake by weight with SPARKLETONE base. That is approximately 2 cups per gallon or ½ cup to 1 quart by volume.

For best coverage, mix approximately 20% SPARKLETONE flake by weight with SPARKLETONE base. That is approximately 3 cups per gallon or ¾ cup to a quart by volume.

Screen Meshes: 40 T is recommended for use with SPARKLETONE flakes. Most competitive flakes are larger and will require courser meshes and a higher usage rate.

When SPARKLETONE base is used with PAVONINE pigments, meshes as fine as 230 work well.

Printing Technique: As is the case with any water based ink, flood between impressions to retard drying in the screen. Use minimum amounts of pressure necessary to obtain good deposit and avoid forcing the SPARKLETONE base into the garment and not leaving enough on top to bind the flakes to the fabric.

Drying and Setting: 2 minutes+ at 320°F in an oven with good air flow should set prints to a washable state. Can be used in conjunction with 0.5 to 1.5% PAVAFIX A to insure washability if oven is inadequate or prints can be air dried and then set in a clothes drier that reaches 250°F. WASH TEST TO MAKE SURE PRINT IS ADEQUATELY SET.

Shelf Life: 2 year if kept tightly closed and in a cool area.

Wash Up: Water or water + all purpose cleaner with ammonia should be all that is required if clean up is done immediately at the end of a run. Glass cleaner with ammonia or similar product will help remove stains and dried in ink. Do not allow inks containing PAVAFIX A to completely dry in the screen. Once dry, a chemical cross linked film will be difficult if not impossible to remove.
