Synthetic thickener for pigment printing. Intended for use with PAVONINE binders, pigments and additives if required to make transparent inks. Can be used to thicken most waterbased inks and paints. A small amount, normally less than 0.5%, mixed in at high speed can make ordinary latex paint into an excellent screen printing ink for use on wood, cardboard & etc.

 

HAZARDOUS MATERIAL INFORMATION:

 

Contains approximately 30% mineral spirits (64742-47-8), less than 0.6% Acrylic Acid (79-10-7) and less than 1% Ammonia (7664-41-7). Avoid breathing fumes and extended contact with skin or eyes. Represents no hazard if used as directed. Container label should read:

 

HEALTH - 1; FLAMMABILITY - 1; REACTIVITY - 0; PERSONAL PROTECTION-B

 

Handling: PAVONINE THICKENER EZ (THEZ) is pre-neutralized and therefore requires no special handling. It must be kept in tightly sealed preferably metal or glass containers for maximum shelf life as solvents will slowly evaporate through the walls of plastic containers, especially ones with high surface to mass ratios.

 

Mixing: Between 2% and 3% PAVONINE (PARM-9001) THICKENER mixed in at high speed is normally recommended. Less than 2% may be sufficient when printing on towels or when using "jelling" pigments such as some black pigments.

 

Storage and Shelf Life: Store in a cool place and keep tightly sealed for maximum shelf life. If stored in properly sealed original containers the product should remain usable for at least 1 year. As shelf life is a function of storage conditions and container seal, Pavonine Products can not accept responsibility if the shelf life of the product is less than 1 year.
