BONDING AND CROSS-LINKING AGENTS

PAVAFIX H (FIX H): A highly effective cross-linking agent. 2% improves adhesion of most waterbased inks and systems when hot cured. 8% is recommended for use in the Pavostretch series, Tubitrans Bond, or Tubitrans Elastobond to provide proper adhesion to difficult fabrics such as water resistant nylon and when used with Tubitrans flock paper. Must be heat cured for 90 sec. + at 330°F (165°C) in an oven with good airflow for maximum effectiveness.

PAVAFIX A (FIX A): A low temperature fixing agent for use in most waterbased inks and systems dried at low temperatures or air dried. Primarily for use when printing on absorbent substrates. 1 to 2% should make most prints dried at room temperature washfast within 72 hours. Prints must dry within a few hours and be stored above 60°F (15°) for 72 hours for best results. Prints that remain wet will not cross-link. Not compatible with Tubitrans Elastobond or Tubitrans 235S.

PAVAFIX C (FIX C): A low temperature fixing agent for use in most waterbased inks and systems dried at low temperatures or air dried. Primarily for use with the Pavostretch series or Tubitrans Bond when printing difficult substrates such as water resistant nylon or for use as a low temperature cross-linker in Tubitrans Bond or the Pavostretch series when printing flock transfers. Effective when oven dried or when prints are dried at temperatures above 60°F (15°C) for 48 hours. Prints that remain wet may not crosslink. Use 2 - 4% depending on application.

PAVAFIX RF (FIX RF): A bonding agent that improves adhesion of most waterbased systems to glass. Addition of 1% to PavoReflect series is required for washfastness. Can also be used in conjunction with Pavafix H or Pavafix C to bond reflective beads sprinkled on a wet Pavostretch (usually Pavostretch White) print on difficult materials such as water resistant nylon to make a highly reflective and durable print.
